A little boy in Mushin, Lagos State, has received a major lifeline after the Ajala Rasaq and Muibat (ARM) Foundation, alongside four other well-meaning Nigerians, raised funds to pay for his surgery following an accident.

The intervention, led by the Chief Executive Officer of the ARM Foundation, Dr Muibat Ajala, was aimed at ensuring that the child received the urgent medical attention he needed despite his family’s inability to afford the hospital bill.

The surgery, which cost approximately N800,000, has now been fully paid for through the collective support.

Speaking on the intervention, Ajala said the foundation could not stand by and allow the child to remain without adequate medical care because of financial constraints.

“We cannot afford to let the boy remain in the hospital without proper medical care. As part of our commitment at ARM Foundation, we had to rally support for the child and ensure that he had access to adequate medical treatment,” Ajala said.

She added that the foundation believes every child deserves access to proper healthcare, happiness and a life free from avoidable suffering.

“ARM Foundation believes that no child should have to endure unnecessary pain. Every child deserves happiness, care and an opportunity to live a healthy life,” she added.
